About GRREAt

Global Retail Real Estate Awards (GRREAt) is an annual international professional award granted for achievements in retail real estate and retail. It has been awarded since 2019 by the Organising Committee of the Award as decided by a Panel of Judges consisting of industry professionals.

The nominees are companies, their presented retail property items, technologies and creative concepts. The Award is given out during a grand ceremony which place and time are appointed annually.

Any retail real estate or retail company can apply. The application is free. Applicants can present their own companies or projects or their partner’s projects providing they have also participated. The application forms must comply with the criteria of the selected nominations.

In 2019, the applicants of the Award are projects from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.

A company managing a retail property with rentable floorspace of 10000 sq. m. and more with improved financial results over the previous year can be nominated.

The Best Shopping Centre Reconcept for Cities with over One Million People

A retail property located in a city with the population of over one million people which has gone through a reconcept and improved its financial results over the previous yea can be nominated.

A retail property located in a city with the population of under one million people which has gone through a reconcept and improved its financial results over the previous yea can be nominated.

Multifunctional complexes located in cities with the population of under one million people and rentable floorspace of at least 10000 sq. m. can be nominated.

The Best Single Purpose Shopping Centre

A retail property with rental floorspace of at least 10000 sq. m. which is rented by at least 80% of tenants of the same consumer market share can be nominated.

The Best Foodhall

A retail property with at least 70% of the rentable floorspace rented by eateries can be nominated.

Urban spaces launched on or after January 1 of the previous year with at least 10 retail businesses can be nominated.

Global Retail Real Estate CONFERENCE 4 December 2019

On December 4, just before the GRREAt awards are given out, a conference entitled Global Retail Real Estate will be held in the Moscow Planetarium by Shopping Centers Russia magazine and Business Events Group.

The key subjects of the conference are international practices of managing shopping centers, organizing new retail formats and nontraditional ways to bring customers to the shops.
